Support for Career Progression

To maintain the standards commensurate with our reputation as a world-leading centre of excellence in biomedical research, the university will continue to invest in and support the most talented researchers to conduct their research activity at the University of Dundee. We actively recruit Research Fellows at all levels. We aim to attract junior researchers and provide them with the resources their need to become leaders in their field of research. We also strive to support our established principal investigators by providing the infrastructure and facilities they need to continue their excellent research. Our recruitment policy is focused on recruiting the very best research staff, and fellows. By providing an inspiring and supportive environment, we aim to develop further our world-class status in biomedical research at Dundee.

At the University, we believe it is essential that we assist the career development of our young principal investigators. This occurs at multiple levels from divisional and college mentoring by the Heads of Divisions and the Dean of Research, to providing support for applications for leading awards in Biomedical Research sciences in including the Lister Medal, the Colworth Medal and the EMBO Young Investigator Programme.
