Our Drug Discovery Unit is the only fully operational and integrated drug discovery team among UK universities. It contains the range of disciplines, (compound management, screening, medicinal chemistry, DMPK and disease model capabilities), required to produce novel drug leads and pre-clinical candidates across a wide range of therapeutic areas. The Unit's strong industry-experienced leadership has created an excellent example of a milestone-driven, drug discovery team. The Drug Discovery Unit has a dedicated staff of 40 with, collectively, over 150 years of industrial experience in drug discovery.
